Award winning producer Sara Proudfoot Clinch set up Rosy Lee Productions in 2004 with celebrated television and radio presenter Zoe Ball (BBC2’s Stricly – It Takes Two) as a vehicle for Zoe’s producing debut and Sara’s directorial debut on 35mm drama Four Brothers And A Funeral shot in Brighton.  The production company is now run solely by Sara who draws on a team of professional and creative talent to produce, write and direct documentaries, TV pilots, music, educational and promotional films.

Sara has two feature film projects in development which she has written, Ashes To India and The Chaperone for which she is seeking an established features producer and finance.  Currently Sara is currently working on the Marketing Pack for Ashes To India to present at Film Expo South on 25 June 2018.

Passionate about making films, Sara’s career has spanned 20 years during which she has met and worked with some amazing legends in the industry including Lord Attenborough, Lord Puttnam, Sir John Mills, Jack Cardiff, Alan Parker, Thelma Schoonmaker Powell, David Yates, Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson, Saeed Jaffrey, Meera Syal, Zoe Ball and more. 

Sara is a voting member of BAFTA (British Academy of Film & Television Arts) where she has premiered several of her films and which she deems to be a huge privilege, responsibility and joy in attending film screenings, Q&As, events, masterclasses and more.

Citizen Khan comes to Ashes To India!!

17.05.2018 So pleased and very delighted to have Mr Adil Ray OBE come on board my feature film project Ashes To India which is seeking funding.  Adil has at long last agreed to play the role of Mr Singh, subject to availability and contract.  I love Adil’s acting, sense of humour and creativity and Citizen Khan is one of my favourite shows on TV.  Now we are lucky enough to see him on TV in Ackley Road.  Investors what are you waiting for … Ashes To India is ready to go!

17.05.18 OMG such great news.  Pravesh Sahni (2nd from right of photo in cream suit) is on board as Producer for Ashes To India – 6 times Oscar Nominated as Line Producer for top features inc Lion, Life of Pi, Best Marigold Hotel, Slum Dog Millionaire … I have no doubt now that together we will get this film off the ground as Ashes To India is sparkling with magic right now. Investors here we come…

Mandeep Dhillon says YES!!! 

16.05.18 Super excited to have Mandi on board Ashes To India to play the lead Suni Singh. I first saw Mandi in 2011 in a play with Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) called The Knowledge at the Bush Theatre in London.  I approached Mandi then about Ashes To India as I knew she would be perfect for Suni and here we are 7 years later! You can see Mandi on our TV screens now in Sky’s Bulletproof. Investors here we come.

1st Radio Interview Today! 

14.05.18 Very excited.  Just had my first radio interview with UK Talk Radio with Geoff Carter, talking about Film Expo South and busting the myths on film investment and my feature Ashes To India which I will be showcasing there in June. 11.05.18 Today Nina Wadia agreed to play the dual role of Mrs Shankar (& her Ghost) & Mrs Chatterjee (who becomes host body for the Ghost) in Sara Proudfoot Clinch’s film Ashes To India written by Sara as a vehicle for her directorial feature debut.  Also attached are…

Sara Proudfoot Clinch teamed up with Zoe Ball on Four Brothers And A Funeral for Zoe’s debut as a producer … Four Brothers And A Funeral shot on 35mm Anamorphic on location in Brighton, with a huge crane, pyrotechnics, five main leads, a cameo from Sayeed Jaffrey, loads of extras, 24 crew, night shoots, recreating the sacred river Ganges on the mudflats of Newhaven and at the Chattri Temple perched high on a hill behind Brighton where a huge shallow tank of water was built at the base of the steps and a burning funeral pyre on the groyne beside Brighton pier at night.   Sara met Zoe while…
